Review & Giveaway: Pencil Pets from Interplay

Posted by

Since he started learning to write, Robot has always liked to use a ‘good’ pencil. If we go anywhere with a gift shop, it’s a pen or a pencil he opts for at the end of the day.

So when he opened a parcel from Interplay last week and found Pencil Pets, we obviously set to work straight away!

Pencil Pets is a 15 minute activity that can be done with or without an adult’s help, depending on the age and ability of the child. Robot is 6 and could clearly follow the instructions, though he found some of the actual assembly a little bit tricky. It makes a great after school invitation to play or a quick time filler while waiting for your brother to finish football training!

What’s included?

The Pencil Pets kit comes with everything you need, including pencils. You get:

• 2 recycled pencils
• 2 puzzle eraser heads. Each consists of 4 parts
• 2 pairs of front paws erasers
• 2 pairs of rear paws & tail erasers
• Transparent PVC die cut accessories (which attach between the front and back halves of the head).
• 4 self-adhesive gems
• Sticker sheet for pencil decoration
• Instruction booklet

You wouldn’t use all of the accessories on the two pencils provided, so even after you’ve finished making your pencil pets you’ll have stickers left over to use on your other stationery.

Pencil Pets are another great product from Interplay and have an RRP of £4.99. They’d make a great stocking filler, weekend treat or gift for a classmate. Sets are available in puppy or kitten designs, in a variety of colours. Buy yours from the interplay website now.

  1. I love all animals, but I really love monkeys as they are so mischievous! As I lived in Africa, I had 2 as pets (not advisable) but we rescued them at different stages. They used to pull everything apart…. and love sweets!

  2. We love our dog but fave animal has to be a horse, unfortunatley don’t have the finances to have one of our very own 🙁

  3. Well I have to say dogs. We’ve had dogs since before I was born so have been brought up with them. We’ve currently got a black labrador cross called Doni. 🙂
